Mama and Dada say that last year, June 24 was good, too, but I don't remember much.
This year, Mama and I went to San Antonio with Aunt Connie on my actual birthday. We rode in the car for a long time. We saw Aunt Kris and Aunt Susie. They aren't really my aunts, but Mama says they're like sisters, so that makes them honorary aunts. Then we stayed in a hotel. Then we rode in the car again, all the way home, and I saw Dada.
Here is a picture of me with my Dada and Mama. I like them a lot.
When it's your birthday, you get to have fun. Sometimes people give you presents.
Mama says that she and Dada got me a swimming pool, but it has been raining a lot, so I have not gone swimming in it yet.
After that, Mama made me a cake. It had one candle on it. Dada and Mama sang to me. Then Mama blew out the candle.
I like having a birthday. I think that next year I will have another one.
Things I Can Do: Walk holding on to someone's fingers, stand unsupported for a few seconds, pull to standing in my crib or on other furniture, push to sitting, crawl on my hands and knees (although I would rather army-crawl), flip light switches, open and close cabinets and drawers, pick up small pieces of food and feed myself, drink from a sippy cup, chew on things with my two new teeth, and say "dada," "mama," and many other multisyllabic combinations which Mom and Dad can't quite understand yet.
What I Like to Eat: Mom's milk, plain yogurt, Cheerios, banana puffs, apple slices, carrots, broccoli, chicken, flour tortilla, sweet potato and squash, apple and pear sauce, mozzarella and extra sharp cheddar cheese, banana, grapes
