A New Favorite.
I think this was a Christmas present from Nana and Papa(razzi). Anyway, Hueston really likes it. The pages are sturdy, the pictures big, and we read through the whole thing easily. It's always fun to get to "Y is for YOU!" and see our weirdly distorted faces in the mirror.

Sleep.
Tonight was Night One of trying to get Hueston to fall asleep on his own in his crib.
So far, we are coming up on an hour, and he seems to be asleep.
Hooray!
We'll see what the rest of the night holds...
Stay tuned...
ETA: [Wednesday, Feb 10, 9:05 a.m.]
10:07 p.m. - in crib
12:47 a.m. - crying - check in but don't pick up
12:53 a.m. - crying - check in but don't pick up
12:58 a.m. - crying - check in but don't pick up (Mom couldn't wait 10 minutes)
1:06 a.m. - quieter - waiting until 1:08 (10 minutes since last check)
1:08 a.m. - quiet
1:13 a.m. - licking blanket, but quiet - Mom goes back to bed
8:15 a.m. - awake, happy, and ready to eat
I think this first night was a success. We'll see how it goes tonight!

Eating Habits.
Hueston is definitely showing more interest in food!
He even leans forward to get to the spoon.
More sweet potatoes...
...and we've also added banana and boxed rice cereal to our repertoire.
Today, we tried green beans!
